Description

Euromedica, is a medical device manufacturer, established in 1998, in Iasi, located in North-Eastern Romania. The company is a 100% family-owned business and specializes in providing its’ customers with production subcontracting services, primarily for innovative medical devices that improve common medical procedures. The primary activity of the company is to manufacture and assemble medical and biomedical equipment. The secondary purpose is to make injection molding of plastic components, liquid silicone molding, and extrusion of polymer packaging materials.
The main objective of the project is to expand the existing building for capacity and sustainability reasons and expand production of new medical and agricultural sensors. The company will become more competitive supplier by introducing greener solutions since it will reduce energy consumption which leads to lower operational costs. Production techniques will also be updated, and plastic waste will be reduced. The plant will be modified according to the newest environmental standards for sustainable development. Key activities include:

Expected outcomes include estimated annual decrease of CO2 by 74 tonnes in 2024 versus 2020 and annual decrease in energy consumptions by 80MWh for the same period. The project is estimated to generate 35 new jobs by 2024.
