Description
The project''s objective is to reduce the energy costs of Total Recycling and green its production processes by installing a photovoltaic integrated system with an installed capacity of 280 kWp which incorporates a clean energy power production of maximum 325 MWh per year, to be used for own consumption. The selected technical solution and its innovativeness will support the company to achieve an estimated 54 tonnes of CO2 annual reduction and less radioactive waste with 0,64 kg/year.
The photovoltaic panels will be built on the sloping roof of the company''s production hall, located in Cornesti, Timis County, with fixing in the roofing sheet and mounting parallel to the roof covering. The photovoltaic plant consists of 2.958 Photovoltaic modules with a power of 450 W and 4 inverters. The structure of the panels will be made of aluminium and will be fixed to the roof by means of special clamps. The photovoltaic power plant will be connected to the grid by the invertors, which is accompanied by a meter that measures the produced energy versus the energy that is taken-in from the grid. The plant will be ordered by an automation system that will limit the power produced, so that it does not inject into the distribution operator''s network. Therefore, Total Recycling will become a prosumer with "no injection into the grid" regime.
The company''s annual energy consumption for the last 12 months for the location where the photovoltaic plan will be installed, amounts to 19,39 MWh, while the estimated energy produced following the implementation of the project (325 MWh) will ensure approximately 12,5% of the company''s energy needs.
Key activities include:
- Delivery of equipment and installations of the PV system.
- Project management and legal expertise.
- Financial audit.
- Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.
Summary of project results
The project aimed to reduce the company''s energy costs and green its production process by installing photovoltaic panels on the sloping roof of the company''s production hall.
Following the implementation of the project, an integrated photovoltaic system was installed, with an installed capacity of 280 KWp.
The photovoltaic panels will ensure the production of maximum 325 MWh per year and a reduction of annul CO2 emissions with 54 tonnes.
