In the South Moravian region there were 720 registered people expelled from home due to domestic violence. These are just the official number, actually much more people tackle domestic violence, especially women. Many women are in the situation they need professional help provided by experts or effective intervention from workers they usually meet first. Therefor the project objective was to provide complex psychological individual advisory in order to reduce the impact of domestic violence, activate the victims and intermediate another supportive activities of preventive character. Thanks to the project the background for providing services was created and the activation programme for the victims of domestic violence was piloted. The continual interest of women confirms the effectiveness, 16 women participated in the programme repeatedly (47x in total) during 1 year. The service was provided to 94 persons in total. Besides, the project raised awareness of domestic violence on women. We organized seminars and discussions for social workers from child’s social and legal protection institutions and higher vocational school students, we distributed the leaflets and posters address victims, created Facebook page devoted to general public informing about the domestic violence. By these activities we addressed about 2600 people. With regards to the report of psychologist and social worker, we achieved changes in women’s personal skills and features leading to independence and self-sufficiency in relationships, parenthood (relation between mother and child) and sociality. Clients acquired new good habits, strengthened the independence on violent person, and changed the perception, behavior and view on domestic violence. They reduced the psychical tension.
