Description
The main objective of the project is to reduce ECOIND''s energy costs, by installing a photovoltaic integrated system with an installed capacity of 0,22MW which incorporates a clean energy power production of maximum 305 MWh per year, to be used for own consumption. The selected technical solution and its innovativeness will support the applicant to achieve an estimated 112 tonnes of CO2 annual reduction. The project implementation will contribute to the long-term operations and development of the company by reducing the energy costs and creating energy independence. The general objective of the project will consist in valorization of the solar resource for the production of photovoltaic energy, in order to increase the capacity to deliver renewable energy and the quality of life in the office building.
The company''s annual energy consumption for the last 12 months for the location where the photovoltaic plan will be installed, amounts to 401 MWh, so the estimated energy produced following the implementation of the project (305 MWh) will ensure approximately 76% of the institute''s energy needs. Key activities include:
- Delivery and set-up of the system.
- Internal project management.
- Financial audit.
- Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.
The investment targeted by this project has a positive impact on the activity of the institute. Its implementation reduces energy consumption from conventional sources, generates energy cost savings and gives a partial energy autonomy. Furthermore, through the reduction of CO2 emissions, the project has a positive impact on the environment. Thus, the implementation of the project ensures sustainable environmental protection and contributes to achieving the Commission’s proposal to cut greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030.
