The project proposal envisages presentation of the rich cultural theatrical heritage of the National Theater "Ivan Vazov" in a revitalized space and renovated space, as well as restoration of exterior elements in order to attract audiences to the cultural monument of national importance with an emblematic building recognizable by every Bulgarian. the constant expert support and assistance from the partner - the University of Green Development, Norway. A permanent new exhibition with physical units of cultural heritage with innovative presentation through a special mobile application and inclusion of children and young people is envisaged. The project proposal includes activities that contribute to strengthening the role of culture and cultural heritage in local, regional development with a focus on employment, social inclusion and cultural entrepreneurship. Attracting new audiences and expanding its scope is achieved through renovated spaces and new equipment, as well as through the planned entrepreneurial plan, offering services to the general public, children, disadvantaged people and specialized audiences. All activities will be implemented in close cooperation with the University of Green Development, Norway and our long-term partners - cultural institutions. The duration of the project is 24 months given the necessary ongoing repairs on the exterior and interior.
Summary of project results
The project of the Ivan Vazov National Theater aims to attract a new audience and expand its reach through renovated spaces and new equipment, as well as the introduction of new services for the general public, children''s audiences, disadvantaged people, and specialized audiences.
The results of the project include renovation and revitalization of the interior and exterior elements of the building for exhibition purposes, as well as the introduction of modern technological solutions for people with disabilities, training of expert staff of the beneficiary, production of educational video material about the most important events, personalities and cultural values in the history of the National Theater, organization of an innovative exhibition to attract a new audience and production of 3D souvenir models by children, for which purpose 20 volumetric compositions were filmed with 3D technology using foil and microraster, which were placed in boards with raster/foil adjustment, arranged and appropriately illuminated with 3D matching. The room for a souvenir workshop was renovated, activities were launched to attract a wide and specialized audience and production of 3D souvenir models by children.
The main focus of the project was on revitalizing interior spaces and restoring exterior elements in order to attract audiences to the building, which is a cultural monument of national importance. Themain goal that was achived was to start presenting the rich cultural and theatrical heritage of the Ivan Vazov National Theater.
Summary of bilateral results
Through the partnership with the Norwegian organization The University College for Green Development, training was provided for the implementation of the entrepreneurial plan, a successful and very valuable exchange of experience in the field of sustainable technologies for presenting the theater''s heritage and involving audiences in the process, and more non-standard approaches to targeting different audiences.
