Description
The project aims at improving key institutional and operational elements of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2018-2021, in order to effectively prevent corruption and promote integrity and transparency in public life as integral elements and quality indicators of good governance in Greece. Following the entry into force of the L. 4622/07.08.2019, the National Transparency Authority (henceforth NTA) was established, as the Independent Authority with an anti-corruption mandate. NTA seeks to design and implement a government wide National Integrity System namely, a single national framework to prevent unethical behaviour and misconduct and promote good and accountable public governance in Greece. NTA in partnership with OECD will develop proposals, good practices and tools for regulating conflict of interest situations strengthening the capacity and integrity of public officials, officials and employees throug the mapping of the national context and comparison with good international practices of risk prevention, identification and management and/or situations of conflict of interest, the submission of proposals by the OECD for a legislative regulation of conflict of interests and the adoption of useful operational tools to prevent and manage risks/conflict of interest situations, the creation of an online educational tool to enhance the skills and critical thinking of the public employees on integrity issues, the design of a survey to measure the implementation and impact of integrity policie, the organization of a conference for the presentation of the results of the project and its contribution to the achievement of its objectives
