Description

Kalvarija Municipality Administration together with its partner will implement the project "Implementation of a model for well-being advisers in Kalvarija municipality". During the period of the extreme situation in the country, the anxiety, depression and other emotional health problems of the population significantly worsened. This project would address psychological problems with low-intensity emotional counseling services. There are no services developed by the project in the municipality. The aim of the project is to create a model of welfare consultants in Kalvarija municipality to improve prevention and reduce health inequalities.
The task of the project is to ensure high-quality availability of low-intensity emotional counseling services. The following main project activities will be carried out to implement the task: trained welfare consultants, an office will be provided, and free services will be provided. The aim of the project is to ensure the availability of welfare consultant services after the project, so that the services created by the project are as close to the person as possible, faster, more accessible and the problems are stopped in time and the society remains healthy. Welfare counselors are expected to reduce the number of people with signs of anxiety, depression and other emotional disorders. The project partner, Kalvarija Municipality Family Care Home, will implement the planned project activities and thus contribute to public health. 
The main indicators of the project are the number of persons who received services - 200 persons, 2 trained specialists, 1 office was installed and the level of satisfaction with the provided services was achieved. Project implementation duration 29 months, project value - 60,653.30 euros.

This project would address psychological problems with low-intensity emotional counseling services. There are no services developed by the project in the municipality. The aim of the project is to create a model of welfare consultants in Kalvarija municipality to improve prevention and reduce health inequalities.

The project partner, Kalvarija Municipality Family Care Home, will implement the planned project activities and thus contribute to public health. The publicity of the project will be implemented by inter-institutional countries: Sangrūda rural community, Youth Sports Club "Orija", Public Institution "Ratu", Association "Kalvarija People''s Club", Association "Kalvarija Third Century University". An interinstitutional cooperation agreement will be signed with the interinstitutional countries.

A model of well-being consultants has been developed in the municipality of Kalvarija, aimed at improving prevention and reducing health inequalities, quality availability of low-intensity emotional counseling services has been ensured, well-being consultants have been trained, an office has been set up, and free services are provided. 

The project involved several key activities and outputs:

  1. Ensuring the Continuation of Welfare Consultant Services: The project guaranteed the continuation of welfare consultant services for at least 5 years after its implementation.
  2. Providing Services: The services were to be provided at a workload of 0.5 full-time equivalent, with the aim of consulting no fewer than 114 individuals.
  3. Selection of Welfare Consultants: The Kalvarija Municipality Social Services Center was responsible for selecting welfare consultants.
  4. Renovation and Furnishing of Premises: The consultations were to be conducted in premises that were renovated and furnished using project funds.

These activities and outputs aimed to ensure that welfare consultant services would be sustainable and effectively delivered to the community for a significant period.

The project outcomes and impacts are as follows:

  1. Creation of a Welfare Consultants Model:

    • Outcome: A sustainable model of welfare consultants was established in Kalvarija Municipality.
    • Impact: Improved prevention and reduction of health inequalities by making emotional counseling services more accessible.
  2. High-Quality Availability of Low-Intensity Emotional Counseling Services:

    • Outcome: Ensured high-quality availability of low-intensity emotional counseling services.
    • Impact: Residents received timely and accessible mental health support, helping to prevent and manage psychological issues early.
  3. Trained Welfare Consultants:

    • Outcome: Two welfare consultants were trained to provide specialized emotional counseling services.
    • Impact: Increased capacity to offer professional mental health support within the community.
  4. Establishment of a Dedicated Office:

    • Outcome: An office was set up to provide a dedicated space for welfare consultations.
    • Impact: Provided a professional and private environment for individuals seeking help, enhancing the effectiveness of the counseling services.
  5. Provision of Free Services:

    • Outcome: Free emotional counseling services were offered to the community.
    • Impact: Lowered barriers to accessing mental health support, ensuring that financial constraints did not prevent individuals from receiving necessary help.
  6. Beneficiaries:

    • Direct Beneficiaries: 200 individuals who received the counseling services.
    • Indirect Beneficiaries: The broader community, including families and peers of the individuals directly receiving services, benefiting from the improved mental well-being of their community members.
  7. Public Health Contribution:

    • Outcome: The project partner, Kalvarija Municipality Family Care Home, successfully implemented the planned activities.
    • Impact: Contributed to overall public health by addressing emotional and mental health issues within the community.

These results demonstrate the project''s success in creating a sustainable, accessible model for mental health support, addressing critical psychological issues, and improving overall public health within Kalvarija Municipality.
