Description

The main objective of the project is to increase the energy security supply of energy in the Parva Commune in order to decrease the CO2 emission by using energy produced from hydropower sources.
The project proposes the building of a micro hydro power plant with a dam to develop the hydropower potential of Rebra river with installed capacity of 0,317 MW that will produce renewable energy for the own use of the Parva Commune operations.
The micro hydro power plant will be built in place of an old micro hydropower plant which ensured the electrification of the households of the commune. The new MHC on Rebra river will supply with the electricity and ensure the lighting for 24 locations as well as public lighting.
The implementation of this project will have a positive impact on long and short term, aiming to reduce the share of energy produced from the use of fossil fuels and especially from wood and use the available renewable resources. Key activities include:

  • Project design and technical assistance.
  • Project investment related to new equipment, constructions and installations.
  • Project management.
  • Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.

Expected outcomes of the project includes an estimated annual CO2 emission reductions by1.576 tonnes and energy produced from hydropower sources of 1.902 MWh/Year. In relation to the project, two employees will receive appropriate training.
