Description

The project is aimed at a comprehensive improvement in the quality of life of children and adolescents under 18 years of age with health and social disadvantages and their families. Project activities are divided into parts, which are interconnected. The first part focuses on increasing the availability and capacity expansion of respite services for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). In addition, skills development and self-reliance of children/adolescents with ASD. Another part focuses on supporting parenting skills for families with children and adolescents with special needs - ASD.

Summary of project results

This project responded to the difficult situation of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. The aim of the project was to ensure that children and adolescents with ASD grew up in a natural environment operating its own family and avoid placement in institutional care. Project activities were to develop in children with ASD senses, self help skills, improve communication, cognition of things around and lead them to full-value life in the company. Project offered to families caregiversthe necessary qualified help to facilitate the challenging child care with a passport. Helped to cope with their challenging situations, brokered them awareness and information, reduce their social isolation. In the framework of the project to expand and improve the range of services for children and adolescents with ASD and for family caregiving – Space clubhouse, Reliever apartment Club parents weekend. We were able to build and equip the new therapeutic light and psychorelaxační room-space clubhouse and begin its operation. For things to do in Space including two Clubhouse workers. There was an expansion of services for children with ASD-reliever apartment, which can use them throughout the week. For families looking after the parents ' Club has been prepared, which actively participated in the seminars. In the framework of the publicity of the project have been printed color brochures. Completed project also contributed to the increase of the quality of care provided, which was due to newly arising from activities expanded and corresponds to individual needs in the care of persons with disabilities. Project activities will continue even after the end of the project.
