Description
The implementation of the project will contribute to the delimitation of the invasive species of Heracleum sosnowskyi, which displaces valuable native plant species and poses a great threat to the life and health of the Sanok County residents and tourists. Reference to the issue of invasive species appears in many documents, such as the strategy of Sanok County, the Nature Conservation Act, and the European Parliament''s Regulations and Directives.
The project implementation will contribute to limiting the occurrence of Heracleum sosnowskyi, in Sanok County. It will raise the level of knowledge about biodiversity among children and adolescents through training sessions and a photo competition. It will prepare owners of agricultural machinery for the appropriate use of plant protection products in combating invasive species. It will raise the awareness of the presence of invasive species among readers of newspapers and websites.
Limiting the occurrence of Heracleum sosnowskyi in the area of 25 ha in Sanok County. Increasing knowledge about the threats posed by invasive species to local ecosystems.
