Description

It is important in today''s high-tech world to move to circular economy. We need to learn to use raw materials sensibly, as this will help combat climate change. Transitioning to more sustainable use of recourses will also help reduce environmental pollution, encourage innovation and provide consumers with better products.

This project aims to design and run educational campaigns in order to increase students’ awareness to topics like resource management, waste recycling and circular economy. Four vocational Bulgarian high schools and local communities in Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Shumen and Pirdop, in partnership with the Norwegian organisation CSR Innovative Solutions AS will cooperate to develop school programs, promote waste recycling and reuse among local communities, transfer good practices to other schools and share experience.

In sense of the shared experience, the Cultural Heritage Institute will develop and plan awareness-raising campaigns regarding the circular economy and recycling which will aim to integrate the experience of the Norwegian partner through joint workshop Norway to share experiences.

Another key aspect of the project is the principle of recycling and reuse. To promote this idea, the project will include interactive activities such as open lesson in Applied Art for making new creations from secondary raw materials, reuse of old things and materials; making an ''installation'' of packaging waste or other materials in order to draw the attention of students and teachers to the problem of waste, second hand exchange bazaar for clothes, books, games and exhibition of cards, applications and others made of recycled or waste paper etc.
