Description
Over 2,200 people live in three ghetto neighborhoods of Resita, being severely affected by poverty, marginalization, isolation and lack of access to public services. All these factors are due to the lack of mobilization and organization of these communities, limited access to services (education, health, employment) and lack of knowledge about public administration. The project purpose is to increase the access to public services of the over 2200 people from the ghetto neighborhoods of Resita, to increase the mobilization and organization capacity of these people and to increase the knowledge about the public administration in these communities. Through the project will be organised trainings in order to educate disadvantage people on how to mobilize and organize, community meetings in which we increase their knowledge about public administration. Also, will be created initiative groups to facilitate the connection of these communities with local authorities in Resita and thus facilitate the access of people from these communities to services (education, health, employment). The initiative groups will consist of 6 people from each community, who will be trained through a series of courses, with specialized facilitators, who will later be the voice of Roma communities at LAG meetings, implementation and monitoring of the Action Plan for Roma of the Resita City Hall. The beneficiaries will be the Roma from three marginalized neighborhoods of Resita (Mociur, Dealu Mare, Calnic), who, through the representatives of the initiative groups, will actively participate in the life of the local community, their access to services will be improved. Kreativ Research, as a partner, will conduct a study to identify the problems facing these communities. Resita City Hall will be a partner, which will work directly with the initiative groups to identify clear measures to combat the marginalization, isolation and exclusion of these people.
