Description
The project should awaken interest of Kutná Hora''s citizens in everyday life. We will ask simple questions like “What would you like to change in your city? / What do you not like in your city?” etc. to specific groups of citizens - kids up to 15 years old, international minorities, retired people etc. From each group we can get a different type of answer - written answer, comment in social media, picture, voice message. Our goal is to get as many answers as possible and then to make collages that will be put in public places - poster places in city, commercial subjects etc. We will also start a campaign in social media profiles of our project where we would like to open discussion about the most common topics. The most common topics will also be a part of final public discussion with members of city government. This is a key moment of our project, when we will be in touch with members of city government and have a possibility to cooperate with them on the most common topics. We plan to deliver our data analysis of this project to them. We would like to achieve more active people in our city. Give them the possibility to write, say or draw their thoughts and show them that their thoughts can come to the real life and change something - for example the voice “I miss places for kids in the centre of town.” -> make discussion about kids in the centre -> cooperate with the relevant organization / people from the city government -> we can make a change and create space for kids together. The locals will definitely benefit from this project because they will get space to share their opinion. Especially we focus on these three groups - students up to 15 years old, retired people and minorities - that will benefit the most. The project should activate them and encourage to make changes around them.
Summary of project results
Gaining experience in coordinating a larger project and, of course, a large amount of data from local people, from which we can now bounce back to the direction of other activities. Raising awareness of our organization - thanks to the fact that the project lasted several months and we used various communication channels, the really general public learned about us, who have not yet come into contact with us due to narrowly focused activities. Establishing new collaborations and contacts. Partnership with the city - the representatives were interested in the outputs of this project and we individually communicated cooperation on certain projects (eg. use of the data obtained by us for the application documents for the European Capital of Culture)
