Description
The aim of the project is to create an adaptation strategy for the area under the Local action group Podlipansko. Municipalities in this locality face problems related to climate change, especially in the area of water management - torrential rains, prolonged droughts, rainwater management. The aim of the project is to create a strategic document that will take this situation into account and propose appropriate measures.
Summary of project results
The area of Polabí, including the entire territory of the Podlipanska LAG, can be considered very sensitive to climate change due to its geomorphology, water regime and large-scale agricultural use. The project was implemented for the territory of the Podlipansko LAG, which includes 57 municipalities. The territory is greatly influenced by the changing climate and agricultural use. For these reasons, the creation of a Climate Change Adaptation Strategy was initiated. The document was divided into three main parts, namely Analytical, Design and Implementation. The analytical part of the document in Part A was devoted to the analysis of the vulnerability of the territory and the main risks and in Part B - to the questionnaire survey that took place in the territory. Based on these documents, the Design Part was created, which presented visions for the adaptation of the Podlipansko region and represents the target state to which the territory should be directed in the future, how it should be shaped, how it should look and function. This vision is in accordance with international and national adaptation documents and with valid legislation, incl. European Landscape Conventions. The design part elaborates 7 priorities for the territory, including adaptation goals and individual measures.
For each municipality in the territory of the Podlipansko LAG, a cadastre map was created, which displays the information obtained within the analytical part and is supplemented by a description of the municipality''s territory, threats in the locality, strengths and weaknesses in the territory and opportunities.The implementation part of the strategy proposes projects that will lead to the fulfillment of the objectives and measures described in the Design Part. This part is supplemented by the Action Plan (proceedings of upcoming projects), where the individual intentions of municipalities are described and their relationship to the fulfilment of the objectives of the adaptation strategy is evaluated.
During the implementation of the project, the Adaptation Strategy was viewed from many angles and some topics had to be less elaborated for processing. The document is processed on a more general scale and is an aid for further progress and a source material for the elaboration of more detailed plans in individual localities, which it also recommends to elaborate.
