PRO BONO divides its mission into 5 objectives: promotion and defense of human rights; development of PRO BONO in the legal sector; training of law students on their social responsibility as future lawyers; empowerment of minorities and NGOs through training on legal issues; securing access to justice to socially vulnerable individuals. JUSSBUSS main goal is fulfilling the existing gap in the access to justice in Norway, through training on human rights and complementary legal aid to underprivileged people.
This initiative aims at improving both organizations ’expertise and management capacity
Summary of the results
To implement effective strategies that improve each party''s procedures, enhance communications strategies and methods.
We were able to:
- Sharpened volunteer management practices used in both party associations
- Increase of productivity and volunteer retention
- Cross training of staff and volunteers on both systems reply to issues
- Have members with international experience in volunteer work
- Improve population''s understanding of their rights and current situation
- Improved, consistent and stable relationship between Norway and Portugal.
