Description

The Industry of Good project focuses on the problem of the fragmented NGO sector and its underdeveloped system of "checks and balances" at the societal level. In addition, in recent years we have seen a constant assault on the NGO sector and the inability to have a common and strong voice. The Industry of Good Platform is an entity in which a minimum of 100 small and large NGO leaders from across the country work together in local and national meetings to agree on the principles of partnership, transparency and ethics (self-regulation), to build an advocacy and public policy agenda. The Good Caravan, which will take place in 4 historic regions, aims to identify possible local leaders and active NGOs to build the Industry of Good platform and provides the country with legislative, advocacy and local expertise. The creation of the platform is a progressive process throughout the project and consists of 2 pillars: Platform Core - task force consisting of 12 NGOs whose role is to build and strengthen the platform and panel 100, the research component of the platform, which proposals for public policies and legislative changes will be based. Through the Imagine Days meetings, we will deepen the discussions and work on principles, working procedures, platform strategy, etc.

The Good Industry platform will solve many other systemic problems, at the sector level: will support NGOs to get out of the reactivity zone and take a proactive stance, will recognize the role of NGOs as bodies that bring innovation in the vital areas of our lives, it would counteract the risk that, in Romania, the Government will impose the creation of a public policy coalitions should include only state-approved NGOs.
