Description
The “Pé de Feijão no Mar” Project was born from the desire to show sea literacy to young people.
Formed by a ludic and pedagogical component, and another dedicated to school sports and a more active life, the “Pé de Feijão no Mar” project wishes to reach both young and senior audiences.
To this end, a series of activities in the classroom and in loco were thought of, all with a playful and pedagogical character.
One of the project''s strong points is the observation of the growth of maritime life in "reefs" placed on the seabed. Monitoring is done by streaming in schools. This monitoring of the growth of life on the reefs can be accompanied with information and recreational activities. These activities can be carried out in person or remotely.
On-site observation, using ROV, can be performed once in each school period.
The other is the promotion of sea activities.
These activities can be sporting (canoeing, paddle and surfing) and boat trips, either for dolphin watching, or for trips to Nazaré’s North Canyon.
For sports activities, a competition is foreseen, which may be between classes or between schools.
