Description

The aim of the project is to provide students with VET disabilities in the field of dual education mechanics and Tourism and Food, a training system based on innovative strategies for organizing internships and workplace learning at local businesses.

Project objectives:

1. Development with min. 80% of methodical and pedagogical competencies, educational management, career counseling, tutoring for dual education; 2. The elaboration by the 12 participants of a set of resource tools for the professionalization activity in dual education regime, of the students with disabilities.

Number and profile of participants to the study visit. On behalf of our High School, 10 people will participate: 2 engineering teachers and 1 practical training teacher - mechanical field, 2 engineering teachers and 2 practical training teachers - Tourism and Food field, 1 director, 1 counselor teacher; 1 English teacher.

Project products: 1 improved Local Development Curriculum for Tourism and food, 2 Practical training partnerships with companies, containing ECVET elements, 1 practice book in the Hotel industry qualification, monitoring and evaluation sheet of the practice activity in dual system, 1 managerial strategy regarding the cooperation and collaboration with the companies, 1 model career plan made by the teacher advisor, 1 comparative analysis regarding the degree of progress of the improvement of the practical activity at the 2 qualifications.

Expected learning achievements for teaches and tutors involved in project: improved communication skills in English, developed organizational and pedagogical competencies regarding the development of internships with tutoring for students with disabilities, including in dual education, improved managerial skills managing/monitoring internships / dual education internships and collaboration with partners, developed skills for development of  professional career profiles for students with disabilities.

Summary of project results

The project was satisfactorily relevant for the intended target groups and for the applicant and the partner economic operator. The objectives were achieved and all the proposed results were achieved, at a satisfactory level of quality.
The results of the project are the following:
• 10 people from the school participated in the mobility: the high school director, the educational advisor, 1 English teacher and 7 teachers who teach VET subjects;
• 2 representatives of the partner economic agent participated in the mobility;
• 11 people benefited from language training;
• All the teachers who participated in the mobility are satisfied with the learning results obtained on this occasion;
• All representatives of the economic agent who participated in the mobility are satisfied with the learning results obtained on this occasion;
• 87% of the school''s students declare that they are satisfied with the learning results obtained in the internships carried out after the study visit;
• The following products were made:
o 2 CDLs;
o 2 partnership agreements;
o 1 practice diary;
o 1 practice book;
o 1 monitoring sheet for internships;
o 1 collaboration strategy with economic agents;
o 1 career plan;
o 1 compendium with specialized terms.
