Description

The project consists in the elaboration of technical documentation for the rehabilitation of roads in the Roma community – Unirii neighbourhood in Ogra commune. The technical documentation will be further used by the project promoter as part of other financing application  to be submitted in order to finance the investment works. 

Currently, the roads are paved, and in the rainy periods these become impossible to be used by people and vehicles.  The project aims to improve the quality of life of the population from Roma community – Unirii neighbourhood in Ogra commune, by rehabilitating the roads. 
The local development strategy of Ogra Commune includes several measures to improve the situation of the Roma community. On short, medium and long term, the investment will ensure the access of the marginalized Roma community to the social services in the centre of the commune: the city hall, the medical office, the school, the railway station, the national road.

The direct target group of the project consists of 690 people at risk of poverty and social exclusion from the marginalized community of the Unirii neighbourhood,  Ogra commune, from which 465 adults and 225 children and young people, of which 99% are roma

Summary of project results

The local development strategy of Ogra Commune includes several measures to improve the situation of the Roma community.  In Unirii neighbourhood, from Ogra commune, the roads infrastructure is in a poor state, without pavement and in the rainy periods these become impracticable for both people and vehicles. In the project there was ellaborated the technical documentation for the rehabilitation of roads in the Roma community , Unirii neighbourhood in Ogra commune. The technical documentation will be further used by the project promoter as part of other financing application to be submitted in order to finance the investment works.
