Description

This project has been shaped by the need of reviving the professional and technical education in Siret. The main objective is to improve the internships for the auto mechanic qualification in order to prepare the workforce according to the professional training standards, so the employment opportunities of the graduates of the Technical College "Lațcu Vodă" Siret would increase. The project includes a study visit to Portugal. The program offers an international experience by visiting local companies and institutions in the field, all able to provide participants with examples of good practice for the practical training of students. The participants will visit three local companies of the auto mechanics department and three VET schools. Therefore, they will learn how their professional skills can be improved by observing the working methods of the local specialists. This experience will eventually lead to a better opportunity for the students to receive helpful advice from the experts. The study visit will be attended by nine people, VET teachers, the unit manager, the English teacher and representatives of the economic department.

Within the project will be involved a semi group of twelve students from a tenth grade class of vocational education and a semi group of thirteen students from an eleventh grade class of vocational education, both with the auto mechanics qualification.

Training and partnership agreements will be developed as a result of the main project. The training agreements will be used during the internships and will include clear daily tasks. Thus, it is expected an increase of the practical trainings'' quality in the meantime.

We will be able to achieve for our students the most attractive professional training of the auto mechanic qualification, knowing that the mechanical field is particularly dynamic in terms of technical and technological progress, and also requires a competent workforce.
