Description

Most of Brno''s music clubs and cultural event organizers in the musical landscape of Brno have freshly associated themselves into "BACH - Brno Association of Club Music" (Brněnská Asociace Clubové Hudby).

The association focuses mainly on cooperation between individual members. The aim of this project is to improve the conditions for functioning of the association, associated enterprises and organizers of cultural events.

Specifically, the development of a web and mobile application that will facilitate the orientation of the organizers in the planned dramaturgy and at the same time clearly show the synthetic programme at one place for club visitors.

At the same time, the app will serve as an online platform for mutual communication between promoters, thus avoiding collisions of the programme and making it easier for individual members to help or organize joint events.

Furthermore, preparations for organization of a sophisticated showcase festival together with a conference will take place. In this showcase, commonly coordinated programme will take place at member clubs and, in addition to concerts, workshops and lectures of representatives of supporting organizations and experts from related domains will be organized.

This showcase festival should then be held as a follow-up to with this project, i.e. it is not part of this project.

Summary of project results

The project has helped the BACH Music Association to better connect, both between the individual clubs and, through the conferences organised, with other cultural participants. We are now able to communicate in the online space and address crucial topics using our own system. At the same time, we present visitors with the complete programme and all the latest news in one place. The biggest challenge was the uncertainty caused by covid measures.

The project has created two online platforms, one mobile app and laid the foundations for the Conference of Music Professionals and the BATCH club festival. The BACH.events web and mobile app acts as a clear programme of music clubs with the possibility to inform visitors about the latest news on individual events. At the same time, we draw data from this app for marketing and for a second online platform, which is the association''s Intranet. Here, we are able to use this data to look into the programmes, styles, prices, number of events and so on for individual clubs. Here, the members of the association are able to hold votes, make online phone calls, keep up to date with news and so on. During the project, strategic partnerships have also been established with SoundCzech, an agency, or the Music Managers Forum.-  organisation of several conferences, the organisation of a club festival and an annual conference aimed at music professionals.

The main outputs of the project are the BACH web and mobile applications together with the Association''s Intranet. This is used by all members and is mainly used for internal matters. On the other hand, the web and mobile application is used by visitors to the music clubs, of which there were almost 5,000 since the launch of the project. These return to the app repeatedly and we record over 12,000 accesses in the last year.

The main benefit of the project lies in the intensified cooperation and collaboration between the participants of the cultural operation, members of the association and music professionals. This trend was already started in the covid period, when the platforms helped to develop the association and then to start the club operation. We intend to develop the platforms in the long term. The same goes for the conference for music professionals and the newly launched BATCH Club Festival.
