OBJECTIVE: establishing and developing a partnership between the choir with the Trondheim Symfonic Orchestra (TSO) and the "Śląsk" ensemble

 

OPERATIONAL GOALS:

• introduction to the basics of Polish national dances

• improvement and development of artists'' workshop

• building future partnerships of the Śląsk Team with Norwegian teams

• encouraging young artists to be active as entrepreneurs through workshops

 

EVENTS:

• presentation of 2 ballet performances to the music of W. Kilar EXODUS, choreographed by M. Zubkov at the theater in Trondheim

• organization of four workshop meetings regarding the learning of Polish national dances

• dance workshops in Norway

• vocal workshops in Koszecin

• organization of a session consisting of a discussion on the possibility of starting an artistic start-up and project management workshops

Summary of project results

The organization of the performance in Koszęcin was canceled, but two performances were performed instead - in Bielko Biała and Chorzów. this change did not affect the project goals.

The essence of the project was the establishment and development of a partnership between the choir from the Trondheim Symphonic Orchestra (TSO) and the Ensemble"Silesia". It will include the presentation of two ballet performances to the music of W. Kilar, EXODUS, choreographed by M. Zubkov at the theater inTrondheim, in which 16 dancers of the Śląsk band will take part, and 2 concerts of the Trondheim choir in Koszęcin andCzęstochowa. The performances will be preceded by band rehearsals and joint workshop meetings. There will be a total of 4 presentationsartistic, with the participation of a total of 70 artists and event creators. He will watch the ballet performance in Trondheim during 2 performances1,000 people in total, while 600 people will listen to the Norwegian choir concert in Koszęcin and Częstochowa. For bothfree entry tickets will be required for the event.Invitations to watch the performances will be sent to organizations associating: disabled people, national minoritiesand ethnic groups from the Trondheim region and the Silesia, Lesser Poland and Opole regions. For this purpose, both institutions will contactnon-governmental organizations bringing together these social groups in Poland and Norway. The project will include artistic workshops:- in Trondheim, 2 workshop meetings on learning Polish national dances, including one for amateurs and the other forpeople working in dance groups in Trondheim and the surrounding area. The aim of the workshop for amateurs will be to familiarize withthe basics of Polish national dances, and the workshop meeting with the dancers'' community will serve to improve anddevelopment of artists'' workshops and building future partnerships of the Śląsk Ensemble with Norwegian ensembles; workshopswill be led by artists of the "Śląsk" Ensemble.- 2 vocal workshops will be held in Koszęcin, for school youth and for representatives of the band''s choir"Silesia". The meeting for amateurs will aim to encourage artistic self-realization through singing, and inThe workshop program will focus on learning Norwegian folk songs; workshop meeting for vocalistsof the "Śląsk" band will aim to prepare songs by Polish composers and vocal parts for the Norwegian bandcompositions by W. Kilar. By organizing workshops for professionals, competences in the area of ​​knowledge will be expandedmusical literature.

There was 10 concerts organized,  for 2552 audience. there were 157 artisst involved in the project, and 54 trained proffesionals. 

Summary of bilateral results

Numerous project events, frequent personal contacts, and common openness to new musical compositions were the basis forwhich was build a lasting partnership between teams. The project was based on precise arrangements between:parties and agreed . Together, the scope of the project, rules of promotion and recruitment of event participants were developed. Records regardingaspect of social inclusion were prepared based on the diagnosis of needs and many years of knowledge of the local communityby each party.
