Description

The aim of the initiative is to enable cooperation and extend the existing share of knowledge and mutual relations in the area of CO2 capture and storage (CCUS). The applicant (BeePartner) is an institution processing applications for grants and managing projects, the Norwegian partner (Technology Centre Mongstad) is a plant for testing and improving technologies for CO2 capture.

Together, they decided to organize a workshop (CR) and subsequent study trips (NO) to promote the CCUS topic, determine possible partnerships, demonstrate practical technology and foster future possible cooperation via

Summary of the results

There were 3 complex events organised within CCUS CZ-NO project:
1. Awareness-raising event focused on promotion of the carbon capture use and storage (CCUS) topic which consisted of an International on-line conference CCUS CZ-NO and of Tailor-made on-line individual meetings between Czech companies and Norwegian experts after the conference.
2. The study visit in Technology Centre Mongstad (NO) for Czech companies in October 2021. 

3. Final on-line meeting between Czech companies and Norwegian experts in January 2022 .

In total, 35 Czech and 28 Norwegian participants took part in the events. The key objectives of the initiative, ie. to raise awareness on Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) topic among Czech companies and to enable the exchange of experience in (CCUS) with the Norwegian experts, were met. All participants of the last project meeting expressed their interest to cooperate in future CCUS projects.
