Description

The project represents an upgrade of the International Cooperation at the Faculty of Design, where we strive to create quality networks of international partners to ensure integration of our institution into the international environment. The implementation of student and staff mobility within the framework of the project will further strengthen the ties between the partners. The mobility of students and staff will encourage more intensive cooperation between us and the partner institutions. The purpose is to integrate the school into the international environment of northern Europe, which will be where future designers are faced with new challenges, other cultures and new pedagogical and professional approach. Representatives of institutions in donor countries will be using our mobility project presented in our projects Gide (Group for International Design Education) and design platform ALICE (Landscape Architecture Interiors Culture Emotions). Participants will exchange experience acquired in foreign institutions, contributing to increasing the awareness of others about policy and practice of education and training in donor countries.

Summary of project results

This project was and still is very important for Faculty of Design, because even though we are a young institution of 11 years, we have been working strategically towards a better international collaboration to various institutions in the field of Design. With new questions and actions through international conferences and workshops, we are looking for the answers, best practices and dialogues among best institutions. By this project we have gained many experiences of different way of work, thinking and doing that brought to our institution great added value. The results will be sustained in the future smaller projects. Our objective was to see how other institutions think, work and collaborate with the students, professors, industry and how they function on local and global market. Through this we have had a chance to see and to learn and to implement some of the methods on our institution. The outcome of the project was the knowledge and the good practice that we can use on our institution in the work with our students, professors, staff and others. Outputs were knowledge, practice, better understanding of other way of thinking and working, respecting different cultures and strengthening international collaboration on future projects to the institutions.

Summary of bilateral results

The contribution from the partner was good support, technical, professional and informative. The partners are interested to prolong the collaboration and to extend it into other future collaborations and projects. We strongly believe that all of our partners are two way street and by this we mean, that with our knowledge and experience we can contribute to our parents on horizontal and vertical level. The effects of our partnership are going to be seen in future workshops, collaborations on the various projects, international scientific conferences, exchange of the students and the professors.
