Description

Participation of the institution in the Slovenian Scholarship Fund SI04 will significantly contribute to the objectives and priorities of the institutional programme, especially with regard to the comparison of the educational process in clinical environments, learning objectives, competencies and abilities of students. The project will also, at this level, restore the partner cooperation, despite the fact that the faculty participates with the partner institution in other forms of international activities such as the IRIS Consortium, which is designed to share knowledge and experience of postgraduate education in the field of nursing and health care. IRIS consortium as well as the seminar Works in Progress is coordinated by Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Science - HiOA, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, the project partner. The project includes staff and student mobility. Partners in the project will share tasks and responsibilities when implementing mobility. Cooperation and exchange is envisaged to continue in the future.

Summary of project results

The project NFM-NFM-22/14 was needed for to expend, strengthen and empowered the collaboration between Faculty of Health Care Jesenice and Department of Nursing at the Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences – HiOA. The collaboration between institutions started in 2009 with the first Norway grants exchanges of students and staff, strengthen in 2010 in IRIS consortium and with Erasmus intensive programme “Works in Progress”. The mobility project NFM-NFM-22/14 contributed to the further collaboration between partner institutions in Erasmus+, KA2 project application in March 2015. The mobility project included 2 administrative staff exchanges, 1 research exchange and 2 student placement exchanges. The results of mobility had impact on the FHCJ library development, research work and organisation of the FHCJ Center for Life-Long Learning, Career Counseling, Tutoring and Mentoring . The mobility delivered outcomes for the home and hosting institutions and as well for the individual mobility student and staff. After mobility completion the motivation for the international exchanges increased among administrative, research in pedagogical staff of FHCJ and more applications for further mobility places were submitted. The motivation increased as well among students, which recognised the amount of scholarship as beneficial for study in Norway.

Summary of bilateral results

The project partner Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences – HiOA continuously participated throughout the mobility programme NFM-NFM-22/14 realisation. Department of Nursing at HiOA designed and performed the exchange programmes for the FHCJ students and staff and with that improved and diversified the knowledge and experiences of the mobility participants, which continue to share their experiences with other colleagues at home faculty. The partnership in the mobility project NFM-NFM-22/14 with HiOA contributed to stronger collaboration of FHCJ in the IRIS consortium and submitting the applications for the research project in Erasmus+ programme, Key action 2, titled »Enhancing digital competence in faculty and master students in the field of social and health professions education«.
