Through the project LOCAL DEVELOPMENT CURRICULUM ADAPTED TO THE EUROPEAN CONTEXT, The Economic College ”Virgil Madgearu” sets itself as a goal to realize a curriculum in local development, 11th grade, for each of the domains Economy, Trade, Tourism and nutrition.
Project''s objectives: 1.Improvement of the high quality professional forming of students from the 11th grades, domains Economy, Trade, Tourism and nutrition. 2. Promoting multilingualism and professional development of the teachers/educational staff. 3. Promoting modernization of the education and professional training systems.
Within the study visit at Oslo, Norway, there will take part 12 VET teachers (4 for each domain), an English teacher and a representative of the partner company.
Results – knowledge, skills, abilities, competence related to the elaboration of CDLs and working tools for students, 10 transfer credits for the teachers taking part in the study visit, a CDL for each domain, Economy, Trade, Tourism and nutrition, a Compendium with working tools for students, with ISBN (that will represent OER – open educational resources).
The impact of the project will be both at the level of the persons directly involved in the project (teachers and representative of the economic agent), but also at the level of the students (who will benefit of the curriculum adapted to the European context and of working tools adequate for the curriculum and for the preparation level), at the one of the other teachers in the school and in other schools of profile that will participate in dissemination activities and will be able to use the materials realized within the project. At the same time, the impact will be both on school in general and on the local community, as these will be promoted through the project added value the project will bring, in turn, better prepared students in school.

”Virgil Madgearu” Ploiesti sets itself as a goal to realize a curriculum in local development, 11th grade, for each of the domains
Economy, Trade, Tourism and nutrition. The curriculum is necessary, as the educational plans for the 11th grade have changed,
starting with the school year 2018-2019. The
appearance of these changes, in a very short period of time, has led to the incapacity of elaborating some curricula in local
development that could respond to the necessity of a high quality professional forming of students, taking into account all the changes
that intervene on the European service market.
Results – knowledge, skills, abilities, competence related to the elaboration of CDLs and working tools for students, a CDL for each
domain, Economy, Trade, Tourism and nutrition, a Compendium with working tools for students, with ISBN (that are now OER – open
educational resources sent to other teachers in Prahova County due to COVID 19 pandemic and sent to Ministry of Education and
Research as a response to VET Inspector’s request), 12 teachers who will have improved their professional development and
communication abilities in the English language, following the effected preparation, 10 transfer credits for the teachers taking part in
the study visit, attitudinal changes, both on behalf of the teachers and on that of the students, as a result of the acquired experiences
and examples of good practice.
We had easy access to economic agents due to the relationship that the partner institution had with them
• We benefited from the visit of a representative of the Norwegian Ministry of Education to the presentation of the educational system
• We were able to attend teaching activities both in class and in practical training laboratories
• I participated as observers in the gastronomic contest organized within the institution with other partner economic agents
• They facilitated our visit to a local restaurant where we had the opportunity to talk to the restaurant staff and observe former students
of the institution.
• We were able to understand the importance of accepting diversity and respecting human rights both within the institution and at the
level of partner economic agents.
Following the collaboration, the teachers and the management of the host organization have favorably changed their perception
regarding the training, skills and involvement of Romanian teachers in European projects.
