The participants in the mobility will have 2 days of job shadowing (one day for observing the general activities of ICI in the area of social and educational inclusion, one day to observe the main ICI’s main trainer preparatory activities for the training) and 7 days of structured course, attending all the formal and informal activities organized by ICI for the participants in the course “Diverse society, diverse classroom”.

On long term, the project will contribute to the enhancement of the inclusiveness in the schools in our county, creating an educational climate that allows each child to feel important.

Summary of project results

The “Addressing diversity in education” (AD-Edu) project was implemented in the context of the institutional and professional need of integrating the international expertise in the educational assistance activities provided to the schools in order to enhance the quality of the activities for the social and educational integration of the children from disadvantaged groups and for ensuring equal access to education for all children.Within the project, 4 mixed international mobilities were organized (2 days of job-shadowing and 7 days of structured course „Diverse society – diverse classrooms), both activities being hosted by the partner form Donor Stated - InterCultural Iceland. The learning outcomes for the participants (organizing training and teaching activities in multicultural groups, using cooperative learning to develop inclusive educational climate, intercultural skills, intercultural dialogue abilities) were capitalized in the development of an optional course for pupils and training programme for teachers, both on educational inclusion in multicultural groups, both approved by ISJ Vrancea. Also, the developed competencies and the resources developed through the project were used in training other CJRAE educational experts and other teachers from 17 schools in Vrancea county through 3 trainings implemented in the follow-up phase of the project, contributing to the development of the educational services in schools to increase the educational inclusion. The project reached its goals and allowed both the professional development of the educational experts in CJRAE and the institutional development and the increase of the quality of the educational services provided to the pupils, parents and teachers.
