Summary of the results

Initative  began with an initial conference involving representatives from Poland and Iceland to outline the project''s objectives, schedule, and coordination details. The COVID-19 pandemic delayed activities until 2022.

In 2022, the project resumed with two training sessions and a study visit. The first training, focused on general police issues, took place in Reykjavik, attended by specialists in combating crime from both countries. The second training, held in Legionowo, Poland, concentrated on combating drug crime and involved participants from Iceland and Poland. Despite the absence of Norwegian representatives due to the war in Ukraine, Icelandic participants filled the gaps.

A study visit to Reykjavik followed, where investigators exchanged experiences related to international cooperation in crime cases.

In 2023, another study visit occurred in Poland, allowing Icelandic officers to observe the methodologies of Polish operational officers and understand the threats from organized drug criminal groups.

The project concluded with a seminar in June 2023, attended by high-ranking police representatives from both countries. The seminar summarized the project''s activities and results, highlighting the dismantling of illegal drug laboratories by the Polish Central Bureau of Investigation (CBŚP).
