The Conference Gender equality: A key for economic and social development in Europe and beyond will be held in Iceland on 31 October and 1 November 2019.
The conference aims to bring together agents of change for gender equality in Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and the Beneficiary, and foster potential future co-operation under the EEA Grants. The conference also aims to introduce successful tools and techniques in the field of gender equality, in particular the Nordic approach and facilitate transfer of best practices from Iceland, Portugal, Norway and the Beneficiary States.
The conference will be moderated by Kristín A. Árnadóttir Ambassador for Gender Equality at the Icelandic Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Áslaug Arna Sigurbjörnsdóttir, Member of the Parliament of Iceland and the Chair of the Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee.
