Call for proposals: Better public sector skills in Hungary

Improving the quality of public services in Hungary through cooperation with Norwegian authorities is in focus in a new call for proposals. An information event takes place in Budapest on 13 August.

CVE-20120614-Hungary-1114

The present call under the capacity building and institutional cooperation programme in Hungary has a total funding of €6 830 000. The call aims to support actions to strengthen the capacities of Hungarian public institutions and to develop human resources through cooperation with Norwegian institutions and authorities.

The exchange of know-how, learning about best practices, well operating institutional models, training modules, and examples for quality public service provision will be important sources of capacity building.

Each project will be implemented in partnership with one or several Norwegian partners.

Information day 13 August
Potential applicants and other interested parties have a chance to meet future partners and receive more information on Tuesday 13 August, in an information day in Budapest organised by the Programme Operator (National Development Agency Managing Authority for International Co-operation Programmes).

Gender equality
Projects have to pay attention to the gender aspects of the measures implemented and contribute to an increased awareness on the principles of equal opportunities. At least 10% of the project budget must be spent on promoting gender equality.

Another important element is the principle of life-long learning - a horizontal concern and cross-cutting issue within the programme.

The Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS) and the Norwegian Agency for Lifelong Learning (Vox) take part as donor programme partners.

Deadline
The application form shall be submitted electronically by 18.00 on 30 September 2013 and following electronic submission, the printable signed declaration shall be submitted per post at the latest by 24.00 on 30 September 2013.
