Removing obstacles to educational mobility is a Europe-wide goal. To support international mobility and joint projects in education, training and research, a call for proposalswill distribute €28 253 to projects funding preparatory visits and €948 924 to other activities which will be covered by another call to be launched this year.

Under the EEA and Norway Grants 2009-2014, €1.845 million is funding Slovenia’s scholarships programme. Partnerships between higher education institutions are promoted under the Grants with scholarship programmes established in 11 countries.

The deadline for submission of applications for preparatory visits is open until the depletion of funds or by 1 December 2015 at latest.

Supported activities

Preparatory visits may take one of the following forms:

  • Meetings between two or several partner organisations;
  • Participation at a contact seminar to search for partners.

A preparatory visit grant may be applied for by both Slovenian and entities from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

Strengthening bilateral ties

The programme has an important bilateral dimension. It is suitable for bilateral and multilateral partnerships, and the supported measures are compatible with the EU’s Lifelong Learning Programme and its actions concerning higher education mobility, partnerships, intensive programmes and preparatory visits.
