Call for projects under the Czech Technical Assistance Fund

The Czech Republic launched a new round of grants this week for cooperation projects with Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway on improved public services and strengthened governance.

The €2.1 million Czech Technical Assistance Fund (TAF) launched a €1.8 million call for proposals on 13 October. Applications can be submitted to the Czech Ministry of Finance until 12 December 2008.
Grants are available for projects aimed at strengthening cooperation and the exchange of experience among Czech entities and entities in Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway in the following focus areas:

  • Strengthening Czech capacity within the field of development aid
  • Co-operation in adoption and implementation of the acquis
  • Cooperation and exchange of experience between central, regional and local government aimed at strengthening and improving of public services.

    Czech institutions at all levels of public administration, state u0009institutions, NGOs, educational and research institutions, professional u0009chambers or unions, and all other Czech bodies operating in the public u0009interest are eligible to apply.
