Estonian NGO Fund: call for proposals

Open Estonia Foundation is announcing an open call for projects operated by public benefit NGOs. The supported projects will promote democratic values, including human rights, and develop the advocacy and watchdog capacities of local civil society organisations. The deadline for project proposals is 25 November 2012.

Funds for non-governmental organisations (NGO Funds) is a specific programme area within the EEA Grants 2009-2014, funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The programme is designed to provide flexible and accessible funding to local NGOs with the aim of fostering an enabling environment for civil society, strengthening its capacities, and enhancing its contribution to social justice, democracy and sustainable development.

A total of €725,000 is earmarked for projects. Of these, projects can be awarded between a minimum of €25,000 and a maximum of €40,000, and network projects can be allocated a minimum of €75,000 and a maximum of €100,000.

The deadline for project proposals is 25 November 2012, 16:00 local time.

Seed-money is available to project applicants for developing bilateral cooperation projects with a partner from a donor state.
