Seed money call launched in Slovakia

Close to €350,000 in seed money was made available on 17 July to Slovak public administrations and non-governmental organisations , with small grants due to be awarded this autumn to applicants aiming to submit individual project applications in the €32.5 million call for proposals planned in Slovakia during spring 2008.

The grants will support the preparation of projects within the priority sectors for academic research, health and childcare and protection of the environment, with more specific focus areas detailed for the two latter sectors. The evaluation of applications for seed money proposals will include an assessment of innovative aspects and overall complexity of the proposals. A third selection criterion is the establishment of new partnerships aimed mainly at bilateral and multilateral cooperation between institutions from Slovakia and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
Project proposals may be submitted to the fund intermediary, the Slovak Focal Point, until 17 September 2007. Read more in the open call text.
