The Financial Mechanism Office is recruiting a Senior Sector Officer for Public Health Initiatives

The Financial Mechanism Office (FMO) in Brussels is the secretariat of the EEA and Norway Grants and reports to the Foreign Ministries of the three donor states Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. We are currently recruiting a Senior Sector Officer for Public Health Initiatives to join our team working on the grant programmes for the 2009-2014 funding period.

Reporting to the Head of the Sector Team, you will coordinate and lead on the FMO’s work in the public health sector. You will provide advice during the development and implementation of programme proposals, and the preparation of programme proposals for donor grant decision, as well as facilitate reviews and evaluations in your sector.

You will also monitor and assess developments in the field of public health in the beneficiary states and at the EU level, and facilitate contacts and cooperation between the donor and beneficiary states.

You must have a relevant university degree (minimum Master’s level), as well as a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant professional experience in a public administration, international organisation or NGO in programme/project management relevant for the sector.
