Cultural diversity programme a big hit in Spain

Twenty eight projects from over 140 applications have been selected for funding under the ‘Cultural diversity and exchange’ programme.

Cultural diversity

The EEA Grants-funded programme generated huge interest amongst cultural organisations and NGOs in Spain. A total of 141 applications were submitted – exceeding the available budget more than ten-fold.

In a country badly affected by the crisis, economic woes have also hit the cultural sector which has seen its public funding slashed. This programme will provide support to cultural organisations which may be struggling and help them build international networks. It will also enable more exchange between artists and people working in the cultural field in Spain and the donor countries.

The programme is managed by the Royal Norwegian Embassy to Spain. All details of the selection process and the list of successful projects are available on their website.
