Together for Gender Equality – Results of the Gender Programmes under the EEA and Norway Grants

Gender equality is a fundamental human right and a key enabler of social and economic development. Recognising the need for renewed attention in this field, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway have provided more than €50 million to promote gender equality and to combat gender-based violence through the EEA and Norway Grants. The funding is channeled to programmes in the beneficiary countries across Europe.The ‘Together for Gender Equality’ event will launch the report from the first ever assessment of the gender programmes under the EEA and Norway Grants 2009-2014. The launch represents an opportunity to highlight results achieved so far and to explore how to continue working together for gender equality in Europe.
