The conference looks into the achievements and success stories within the EEA Grants NGO Programme in Lithuania and invites the participants to discuss the challenges facing civil society today, in the light of increasing restrictions on NGO activity across the globe. The event brings this debate closer to home and the Lithuanian NGO community. Do we feel that our space is shrinking too? How much influence can we have, how much difference can we still make and how sustainable these changes are? And what about the challenges Europe is currently facing? Should we not, in light of these developments, start rethinking our role as civil society in shaping local, regional and global policies?Among the speakers are the HE Ambassador Dag Malmer Halvorsen, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Vilnius, representatives from the EEA Grants Financial Mechanism Office, European Centre for Not-for-profit Law (ECNL), the Norwegian Helsinki Committee as well as representatives from the Fund Operator (Human Rights Monitoring Institute).Download the programmeRead more about the Lithuanian NGO programmeRead more about the EEA and Norway Grants to Lithuania
