Amiantos mine restoration: Information event

Underway since 1995, the rehabilitation process of the abandoned asbestos mine is a lengthy and complex task expected to be completed in 2030. The Amiantos project aims to support this restoration process by evaluating and improving the current restoration techniques, as well as creating a stable and self-sufficient forest ecosystem.The project is managed by the Department of Forests of the Cypriot Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment.Read more about the Amiantos projectRead more about the EEA Grants to Cyprus
