Description
The main aim of the Project is implementation of measures which will contribute to mitigation and adaptation to climate change in the City of Bardejov. Within the Project, the action plan for mitigation and adaptation to climate change will be elaborated as a comprehensive short and medium term strategic document that will define the activities of the city focused on reducing the CO2 emissions and adaptation to climate change. In addition, hard measures will be carried out in line with the action plan covering the following areas: building sector (reducing the energy costs of the Primary school, efficient use of water in the Primary school), energy saving solutions (modernisation of interior lightening), transport (development of sustainable mobility through the promotion and development of cycling), green and blue infrastructure (planting of trees, Building natural elements to increase air humidity and retain moisture, creation of water elements), waste management provision of biodegradable waste collection and recovery in the city), soft measures.
The Bilateral Project Partner – the Norwegian Molde Municipality will cooperate in developing and providing know-how in the preparation of the action plan.
Main target group are the citizens of Bardejov, with special focus on children and youth.
