Description

Alwo Therm aims to implement new technologies and equipment that will lead to an increase in the production capacity, quality improvement of their products, less CO2 emissions, less emissions of volatile organic compounds and less energy consumption at production level. This project will allow the company to manufacture an improved technical solution for air filtration.

The technical solution includes purchasing various equipment like a laser cutter, bending machine, electric oven, welding equipment and measurement and control equipment.
The objectives are to introduce a highly innovative technology, increase the production capacity and quality and strengthen the company’s brand as a company which offers environmentally friendly products. Key activities include:

  • Project management with support from a consultant.
  • Investment activity related to the new equipment.
  • Audit performed by an external auditor.
  • Project publicity to promote the project.

Expected outcomes include an estimated annual decrease of CO2 emissions from 88,5 tonnes to 54,39 and estimated annual decrease in energy consumption from 147 megawatt-hour to 110,57 megawatt-hour by 2023. The project is expected to generate 3 new jobs.

The company also declares that the project will be implemented by observing principles of equality between genders and promote equal opportunities for all.

Summary of project results

The project contributed to the Alwo Therm upgrade of the technological production flow, increase in productivity and optimisation of production costs together with the reduction in hazardous emissions generated by the company’s activities.

The green elements from the project are beneficial to Alwo Therm. With the new equipment it has been possible to reduce harmful greenhouse gasses, and to reduce the company’s own emission and improve their sustainability. This will also represent a positive, green impact at client level (companies and their employees which will purchase Alwo Therm''s installations), since the new equipment will allow the improvement of the Applicant''s products.
