Description

Ramira SA is one of Romania''s most important suppliers of welding fixtures for the automotive industry. The main objective of the company''s activity is to manufacture metal constructions and components of metallic structures. The current investment and development project is aimed at the increase of production line for manufacturing 2 new products: skids and conveyor for parts. Ramira will need to purchase 5 new equipment which includes surface grinding machine and a universal milling Centre machine. 

The specific project objectives are addressed from a challenge of the company revolved around innovation within the company. Major steps have been undertaken by increasing the engineering department that will work towards new product concepts and design and in parallel with modernization works, the company will continue investing in a new milling machine. 

The project will improve the business indicators of the company (profitability, turnover) by reducing production costs, increasing the production capacity and expanding the range of products to other markets. It will also Improve the environmental impact of the company through reducing the energy consumption and materials consumption. Key activities include:

  • Project management by internal team.
  • Investments related to the new equipment.
  • Information and publicity to promote the project.

Expected outcomes include a turnover increase in 2021 compared to baseline 2017. Energy consumption is expected to decrease by 142,29 MW/year by 2020.

Summary of project results

The exact project objectives have been completed. They had in view a corporate problem that revolves around internal innovation. Significant progress has been achieved by expanding the engineering department, which has concentrated on new product concepts and design. In addition, the company invested in a new milling machine in line with its modernization efforts.

The Promoter is now capable to build the specific performance of a highly-engineered company that meets industry integration requirements in the Industry 4.0 concept. The current project helped with the strategic technological development which now ensures the competitiveness and quality of the products provided.
