Description

This project, financed with the help of the Norway Grants,  involves the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems on four municipal buildings in Cluj-Napoca. These including school facilities and parking lots. By harnessing solar energy through PV panels mounted on building terraces, the project aims to provide sustainable electricity for daytime operations, such as lighting, barriers, ticket stations, monitoring systems, and vehicle charging stations, all while reducing energy costs for the municipality. Notably, PV panels placed on the school building will also supply energy to the educational institution, effectively reducing its reliance on conventional energy sources from the national grid. Beyond the immediate benefits of cost savings and enhanced energy security, this project contributes to environmental sustainability by significantly reducing CO2 emissions, thus paving the way for a greener and more sustainable future in the community.

Achieving such ambitious targets required a variety of key activities. These include:

- Project Management

- Investment activity

- Project Publicity

- External Financial Audit

The project proposes the installation of photovoltaic panels on 4 public buildings, with an installed power of 288 kWp, that will produce 313 MWh/year. Following the implementation of the project, there will be a positive impact on the environment, as the CO2 emission will be reduced with 96 tons/year.
