Description

This project is related to project RO-ENERGY-0063, aiming to electrify additional households.

The main objective of the project is to reduce energy poverty through the electrification of 89 households by using energy produced from photovoltaic panels and ensuring normal living conditions for a number of at least 174 people.

The 89 households'' residents lack electricity, while they are also in a situation of poverty. As several of the residents do not have ownership documents for the households or for the terrain on which they are built, it is impossible to sign electricity contracts with the Electricity Distribution System Operator. Most of the households have been built without proper documentation or approvals.

The households have been evaluated and established the consumption needs and the PV system will be able support uses such as TV, fridge, and washing machine. Most of the non-electrified households have been assessed from a structural point of view and Budila Commune intends to install the photovoltaic panels on the building roofs. However. the roofs resistance will be verified again when installing the photovoltaic panels. The proposed project has no negative impact on the environment during construction and operation phases. Key activities include:

  • Investment activities related to purchase and installations.
  • Training of permanent residents.
  • Project management by internal team.
  • Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.

Expected outcomes include at least 174 persons benefiting from being connected to electricity solutions, CO2 emissions reduced annually by 55 tonnes and 182 MWh/year energy produced from renewable sources.
