Description

The main objective of the project is to reduce the energy costs of Sigstrat SA and green its production processes by installing a photovoltaic integrated system with an installed capacity of 1 MW which incorporates a clean energy power production of maximum 1.190 MWh per year, to be used for own consumption. The selected technical solution and its innovativeness will support the company to achieve an estimated 364,37 tonnes of CO2 annual reduction.

The photovoltaic panels will be built on the rooftops of 5 industrial halls on the company''s premises, located in Sighetul Marmatiei, Maramures County, with fixing in the roofing sheet and mounting parallel to the roof covering. The photovoltaic system consists of 3.239 Photovoltaic modules, 30 inverters and 1.651 optimizers. The structure of the panels will be made of aluminium and will be fixed to the roof by means of special clamps. The company had several times blackouts as there is not enough voltage in the in-house power grids which is a major obstacle for their production processes. The project aims to solve this problem.

The company''s annual energy consumption for the last 12 months for the location where the photovoltaic plan will be installed, amounts to 3.397 MWh, while the estimated energy produced following the implementation of the project (1.190 MWh) will ensure approximately 31% of the company''s energy needs. Key activities of the project include:

  • Investments in relation to the PV system.
  • Financial audit.
  • Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.

The investment targeted by this project has a positive impact on the company. Its implementation reduces energy consumption from conventional sources creating a partial energy autonomous. Furthermore, with the present investment, the company will reach a better financial performance. With fewer production costs the company can expand their production capacity, increasing both profits and sustainability simultaneously.
