Description
The project aims to reduce energy consumption and decrease CO2 emissions by rehabilitation of four public buildings in Saveni Municipality: The City Hall, the Public Library, Bodeasa school and Petricani school. The project is relevant for the objective of the programme. The general objective of the project is to increase the energy efficiency in public buildings and reduce carbon consumption by rehabilitating them.
The technical solution includes building envelope partial retrofitting by thermal insulating the exterior walls, windows and ceiling. Various equipment will be installed like for example heating boiler, electric boiler, heating distribution and thermal insulation of pipes. All technical solution proposed are in line with the energy audit report and are based on the needs identified at each location. Key activities include:
- External consultancy which includes technical design, site management and financial audit.
- Investment activities related to the constructions and installations.
- Project management.
- Publicity to ensure the visibility of the project.
Expected outcomes of the project are 333,26 tonnes decrease in CO2 emissions annually and reduction of energy consumption by 806,67 MWh/year.
The project will be implemented in partnership with International Development Norway (IDN). The partner will perform quality assurance of the proposed technical solutions based on experience both in Norway and Eastern Europe. They will also assess the investment plan and suggest alternative solutions based on BAT-approach. Finally, they will develop the quality assurance for commissioning and maintenance plan.
Summary of project results
The results are reducing energy consumption and decrease CO2 emissions following the rehabilitation of four public buildings in Saveni Municipality: The City Hall, the Public Library, Bodeasa school and Petricani school.
