Description

The purpose of the project is to ensure, in partnership school-company,  the quality of education and to training of the students enrolled in the Mechanical field, Car Mechanics qualification, by developing professional skills in line with the labour market needs.

As such, the targeted objectives, are:

1.          Supporting the development of professional competences for 6 teachers within the Mechanics field and 2 training tutors

2.         Improving the teaching-learning quality by training the teachers

3.         Promoting learning based on practical training in order to motivate and involve students, by raising the number of outdoor learning activities.

The main activity of the project is a study visit in Portugal, for 5 days.

The teachers will perform job-shadowing activities, participation in workshops and seminaries related to professional training in Portugal, documentation visits in certain companies.

By participating in this project, the teachers will thus acquire a series of skills related to harmonizing some teaching-learning-evaluation methods and techniques, skills related to selecting work strategies and methods for avoiding discriminating behavior through the content of observed activities, skills related to connect professional education to labour market needs .

Final products and activities carried out after the end of the mobility in partnership with the partner company: 3 Local Decision Curricula for work based learning in the field of Mechanics, for the 9th, 10th and 11th grades , 1 portfolio of good practices.

Summary of project results

The final report was approved. The project achieved its objectives, was relevant for the intended target groups and for the partner institutions, managing to address the identified needs well. The objectives were achieved and all the proposed results were achieved, at a satisfactory level of quality. The following results were obtained:
• All 6 teachers participating in the study visit declared that they developed skills/competences.
• The 2 representatives of the partner economic agent participating in the study visit declared that they have developed skills regarding the organization of students'' internships.
• A total of 8 people participated in the study visit.
• There are no Roma students in the school.
•    They were achieved :
o 3 Local Development Curricula (CDL)  for mechanical profile, 9th, 10th and 11th classes
o 1 practice portfolio for students;
• 355 students (90.79%), out of the total number of 391 students in the VET classes, declared that they obtained better learning results during the internships than in previous years.

The project team established at the level of the applicant and the partner company demonstrated their involvement in the project and good cooperation. The project page on the applicant''s website is well done, it contains various information related to the implementation of the project and the dissemination of its results, and all the developed documents are posted. Coordination mechanisms between participating organizations were adequate. The dissemination events were well done and well presented. All participants in the study visit declared that they had improved skills. All the students surveyed state that they have improved their learning outcomes achieved during the internships.
