Description
The PP, is the only school, at regional level, with specializations in the food industry. Considering the existing situation, SC Vascar SA, internship partner of our school, requested schooling in dual education for 10 students, qualification Meat and fish products maker, starting with school year 2020-2021, which materialized through the existing dual partnership.
The aim of the project - to improve the quality of learning in the workplace, facilitating the transition "school - workplace" and the integration of students in the food industry in the local, national and European market, as a result of improving the personal and professional skills of training institutions - will be met by achieving the following specific objectives:
O1-empowerment for the implementation of dual education of VET teachers; O2-development of the skills of tutors from the project partner in the elaboration of the documents necessary for the development and implementation of work based learning; O3-consolidation, extension of the dual partnership school-local administration-companies in the next 3 years.
• Participants : 8 persons ( 1 school manager, 4 VET teacher, 1 English teacher, 2 tutors from partner company).
• Project activities- Management and logistics activities, selection on the participants to the study visit, preparation of the participants, the study visit ( 5 days and 2 travel days, at Glemmen Videregaende Skole, Fredrikstad, Norway, local activities (elaboration and test of documents and tools; training sessions for the VET teachers and the tutors), dissemination activities.
• Project results: Good training of staff involved in students work based learning , the set of resources developed to facilitate learning and improved practical skills and competencies of students in the target qualification, better collaboration school-companies, better work based learning for students.
Summary of project results
The project was relevant to the intended target groups and partner institutions. The objectives were achieved and all the proposed results were achieved, at a good level of quality.
• All 8 teachers participating in the study visit declared that they developed skills/competences.
• The 2 representatives of the partner economic agent participating in the study visit declared that they have developed skills regarding the organization of students'' internships.
• A total of 10 people participated in the study visit.
• There is 1 Roma student in the school, 0.12% of the total of 869 students.
• 556 students (94.88% of the total number of 586 students from the VET classes, declared that they obtained better learning results during the internships than in previous years.
A significant number of deliverables were achieved:
• 1 Local Development Curriculum (CDL), "Meat preservation methods by smoking"
• 1 course support for CDL
• 1 guide for practice tutors
• 1 practice book
• Romanian-English mini-dictionary with terms specific to the field targeted in the project.
• Project website.
The added value of the study visit is credibly demonstrated.
