Description

The goal of our project is to support the acquisition and development of modern and effective strategies for teachers in Iasi County, needed in order to make the teaching process more effective and to facilitate the acquisition and development of key competences for school students, thus enabling their better social inclusion at both national and European level.

In order to achieve the goal of the project we think that the following objectives must be met:

1. Acquiring and developing competencies regarding the efficiency of the process of social inclusion of students, for a number of 10 trainers of CCD Iasi, through their participation in training courses, within a period of 6 months from the beginning of the project;

2. Elaboration of 5 approved training programmes on the process of social inclusion of students within 9 months from the beginning of the project on the following topics: social exclusion, participatory democracy; experiential learning, discrimination; racism and xenophobia, bullying, education for a safe and healthy living environment, etc.

3. Facilitating the acquisition and development of competences in a number of 250 teachers from Iasi County, in order to make the key competency acquisition process more effective for the students in their school, by organizing and carrying out the 5 approved courses at CCD Iasi, within a period of 1 year and 4 months after the beginning of the project;

4. Developing a training course for teachers on Social Inclusion within one and a half years from the beginning of the project and gaining accreditation for this course by MEN in a period of 1 year and 10 months after the beginning of the project.

5. Training 500 teachers from Iasi County by attending the accredited course, within 2 years from the accreditation of the course, as a means of ensuring the sustainability of the project.

Summary of project results

During the 2 years the following activities were carried out within the project and the following results were obtained:
- Project dissemination and communication activities;
- Dissemination and evaluation of the course in Norway and Iceland;
- Elaborating documentation (outline and course support) for 5 training courses with a view to introduce them in the offer of CCD Iasi training programmes, for the school year 2020/2021 and submit them for approval to MEC.
- Implementing the 5 training courses mentioned above, with the participation of a number of 250 teachers from Iași County, coming from different backgrounds;
- Elaborating the course support and of the necessary documents in order to submit them to the Ministry of Education, for accreditation;
- Obtaining the accreditation of the training course “Social Inclusion through Inclusive School”;
- Evaluating the impact of the project on the target group.
We believe that the final beneficiaries are the students, their families and last but not least the local communities they come from, through their increased social inclusion.
Through the participation of the 10 educational experts in the training courses, they developed their professional competences as teacher trainers on the issue of social inclusion, by conducting the 5 training courses these skills were transferred to the 250 teachers trained within the 5 training courses, and, in their turn, they valorised these acquired skills, contributing to increasing the process of school and social inclusion in the local communities they come from.
All project objectives have been achieved 100%;
Within the project a training course was accredited, its title is “Social Inclusion through Inclusive School”, it will include 89 hours of training and it is worth 22 transferable professional credits, within which a number of 500 teachers will be trained within 2 years from the end of the project.
