Description

Through the project LOCAL DEVELOPMENT CURRICULUM ADAPTED TO THE EUROPEAN CONTEXT, The Economic College ”Virgil Madgearu”  sets itself as a goal to realize a curriculum in local development, 11th grade, for each of the domains Economy, Trade, Tourism and nutrition.

Project''s objectives: 1.Improvement of the high quality professional forming of students from the 11th grades, domains Economy, Trade, Tourism and nutrition. 2. Promoting multilingualism and professional development of the teachers/educational staff. 3. Promoting  modernization of the education and professional training systems.

Within the study visit at Oslo, Norway, there will take part 12 VET teachers (4 for each domain), an English teacher and a representative of the partner company.

Results – knowledge, skills, abilities, competence related to the elaboration of CDLs and working tools for students, 10 transfer credits for the teachers taking part in the study visit, a CDL for each domain, Economy, Trade, Tourism and nutrition, a Compendium with working tools for students, with ISBN (that will represent OER – open educational resources).

The impact of the project will be both at the level of the persons directly involved in the project (teachers and representative of the economic agent), but also at the level of the students (who will benefit of the curriculum adapted to the European context and of working tools adequate for the curriculum and for the preparation level), at the one of the other teachers in the school and in other schools of profile that will participate in dissemination activities and will be able to use the materials realized within the project. At the same time, the impact will be both on school in general and on the local community, as these will be promoted through the project added value the project will bring, in turn, better prepared students in school.

Summary of project results

All 13 teachers participating in the study visit declared that they developed skills/competences. • The representative of the partner economic agent declares that he has developed skills regarding the organization of students'' internships. • 40.02% of the students declared that they improved their learning results obtained in the practical workshops (365 students out of a total of 912 students from the technological profile). This result is below the program target. According to the statement of the promoter''s legal representative, this result is caused by the pandemic. In the 2nd semester of the 2019-2020 school year, there were no internships. • A total of 14 people participated in the study visit. • 28 students, out of a total of 1208 students, are of Roma ethnicity (2.32%). • The learning results of the teachers participating in the study visit have been formally recognized, according to the Ministry of Education methodology. • 3 CDLs were made for the 11th grade, high school, Economic, Trade, Tourism and Food. The CDLs were made in online format and are posted on the school''s website, they were sent to the specialized inspector to be sent to the MEC as OER resources. • 1 Compendium with work tools for students (ISBN ISBN 978-973-0-31707-7). It was made in electronic format, but they were also printed for the participating teachers. All materials are OER. • 1 Partnership Agreement containing the ECVET specifications.

Summary of bilateral results

Easy access to companies due to the relationship that the school had with the hosting institution • The PP benefited from the visit of a representative of the Norwegian Ministry of Education to the presentation of the educational system• the PP were able to attend teaching activities both in class and in practical training laboratories• the Romanian participants to the study visit participated as observers in the gastronomic contest organized within the institution with other partner economic agents• the Romanian participants to the study visit were able to understand the importance of accepting diversity and respecting human rights both within the institution and at thelevel of partner economic agents.Following the collaboration, the teachers and the management of the host organization have favorably changed their perceptionregarding the training, skills and involvement of Romanian teachers in European projects.
